Where is Kevin Kiley?

Surprised Kevin Kiley (a man in a suit and white shirt) standing at a desk with a microphone in front of him. An American flag is behind him. He has short brown hair and is looking to the side.

Congressman Kevin Kiley represents California’s 3rd District, which includes parts of Placer County. Despite major federal changes affecting our communities, Kiley has stayed silent. Constituents report ignored calls, unanswered emails, and no real engagement. His rare telephone town halls feel scripted and avoid direct dialogue.

So on May 10, 2025, we held our own in-person town hall, joined by Reps. Sam Liccardo and Jared Huffman. Kiley ignored the invitation.

Now, as Republicans redraw maps in states like Texas to cling to power, Kiley has introduced a bill to ban mid-decade redistricting. It’s a transparent attempt to protect his own seat from California’s voter-driven changes. While Democrats fight for fair elections, Kiley’s fighting for himself.

“This is about what’s right. This is about defending democracy. This is about defending our governmental institutions, and making sure that our voices are heard.

Do You Hear The People Sing?

On June 14, 2025, as thousands protested in Auburn, CA, the rural town of 14,000 people, community members stood on the steps of the historic courthouse and sang "Do you hear the people sing?" one of the most recognizable songs from Les Miserables. This song has been used as a protest song throughout the years and is a call to overcome adversity and fight against oppression.

Protesters peacefully lined the streets surrounding the historic Auburn courthouse. Everyone, and we mean everyone who is watching what's happening in our country and has a conscience, is on the streets or showing solidarity. Placer County's community has never been stronger.
